Wild Cocktail Masterclass

31st May, 1.30pm
We are excited to host the fabulous Heathery Heights for a unique cocktail masterclass which will explore the incredible flavours of wild, foraged ingredients paired with some of our delicious spirits.
You’ll spend a fun afternoon creating four exquisite cocktails and enjoying a variety of delicious canapes, also created from foraged ingredients.
Heather will provide a fascinating insight into nature’s abundant larder and will really open your eyes as to what is available on our doorstep.
The afternoon format includes a total of four cocktails and seasonal canapés:
- Welcome Fizz: Start with a delicious welcome ‘fizz’ – for example, a Barberry Fizz, Sloe Royale, or Wild Currant Fizz. Enjoy this alongside canapés and dips while you from Heather about the wild ingredients available to use in cocktails.
- Demonstration Cocktail: Heather will demonstrate making a cocktail for the group to share. A favourite is “The Sting” – a Heathery Heights special that uses ingredients like Dandelion Root, Nettle, Sweet Cicely, and Wild Bitters, along with Kintyre Gin and Spiced Rum.
- Get Hands-On: You will have the opportunity to make two of your own bespoke wild cocktails. Creations are likely to include options like the Gors-ada (a take on Piña Colada using Gorse infused Rum), a Wild Mojito (using Gorse Rum), Get Knotted (using Japanese Knotweed infusion), a Dirty Sloe Martini, or a Yarrow Mule.
Cocktails can be enjoyed at your leisure or decanted into bottles to enjoy at home!
Foraged Canapés
Your cocktails will be perfectly paired with seasonal foraged canapés. The simple afternoon menu will feature items such as wild seeded sourdough crackers, seaweed oatcakes, Wild Nettle and Garlic pesto twirls, and cucumber slices with wild-inspired toppings like Baba Ganoush with Roasted Hogweed, or Smoked Mackerel Pate with Pickled Seaweed Capers & Yarrow.
