Due to essential upgrading of our electricity supply by SSE, we will sadly have to close the distillery and cafe on Monday 21 June.
We’ll open up again as normal on Tuesday 22.
Kintyre Gin is sustainably produced using our very own renewable energy, powered from the small hydro-electric scheme at Torrisdale Castle Estate. Our water is sourced from the hill from which we take our name. ‘Beinn an Tuirc’ translates from gaelic as ‘The Hill of the Wild Boar’ and is the highest point in Kintyre, located above our distillery building.
We are now open 7 days a week from 11am – 4pm! Come and enjoy a light lunch or coffee and a cake or homemade scone in our beautiful cafe. If it’s just gin you are after, ask in the cafe and someone can see to you in the tasting room.
What makes us special?
