With the changing weather and our shorter opening times in place (Saturday – Wednesday), we have been reflecting on all the wonderful people we have welcomed to the distillery this season. Visitors from all over the world, including North America, South Korea, Chile and South Africa have enjoyed everything we have to offer – tours, gin school and our fabulous café. Many have taken the time to walk the grounds of Torrisdale Estate and have taken in our champion trees, our beautiful walled garden and Torrisdale Castle itself (from the outside!).
We really enjoy organising bespoke tours for larger groups from 6 – 14 and can offer a variety of experiences such as gin school, distillery tours and guided walks. We can include refreshments, lunch and even an afternoon tea, depending on the needs of the group.
We can even add on a sneaky peak inside the castle itself! You will be welcomed into the grand hallway and introduced to Boss Hogg’s great grandfather and mother (portraits!). You will then take a turn around the drawing room and take in the breathtaking views of Arran. Blended with the grandeur, is evidence of modern family life in the castle – we do our best to keep it tidy, but life usually has other plans. There is a high chance that you will encounter at least one of our three family pets – Magnus, Crumble (dogs) and Noah (cat!).
